Clinicians need to accurately assess risk and make prudent decisions on choice of antithrombotic therapy in a variety of patient populations for STEMI, UA/NSTEMI with a conservative strategy, and UA/NSTEMI with an invasive strategy. In addition, timing and location of administration of therapy must be considered. In this educational initiative, a panel of experts will describe best treatment strategies for patients experiencing acute coronary syndromes (ACS), with a particular emphasis on oral antiplatelet therapies.
